Histamine

Histamine is an organic nitrogenous compound regulating physiological function as a neurotransmitter for the brain.Histamine is involved in the inflammation and mediator of itching.Histamine is produced by Basophils.Histamine base received  as a mineral oil mull, melts at 83–84 °C.Most histamine in the body is generated in granules in mast cells ,white blood cells also contains it (leukocytes) called basophils. histamine may be involved in immune system disorders allergies. Mastocytosis is a rare disease,The cell bodies of histamine neurons are found in the posterior hypothalamus,Histamine neurons increase wakefulness and avoids sleep When injected intravenously, histamine causes most blood vessels to dilate causes a fall in the blood pressure.histamine is small compared to other biological molecules because of its chemical properties involved in many physiological functions, basophil histamine release is immunologic.  polymyxin are also found to stimulate histamine release.Bacteria also are capable of producing histamine using histidine decarboxylase enzymes
